This week’s El Caporal Mason Team of the Week is the Comet Varsity Baseball Team coached by Curt Bly.  The Comets are off to a strong start this spring with an 8-1 overall record and perfect 5-0 in the GMC.  Their only loss came on the annual spring trip versus Riverdale, TN.  Mason is currently the #6 ranked team in the early season Division 1 state prep polls.  See Mason’s 2019 roster below:

GIRLS SWIM/DIVEThe MASON Girls Swimming and Diving team successfully defended their state title this season by defeating runner-up North Canton Hoover by 3 points! It was a tremendous team win for the 10 Mason swimmers and divers. The Comets were bridesmaids in 2016 and 2017, finishing as the state runner-up to Upper Arlington before breaking through last season with their first-ever team title.  The Comets became the third Cincinnati-area program (St. Ursula 1993-95, Ursuline 2000-02; 2013-14) to capture back-to-back state championships.

This week’s El Caporal Mason Team of the Week is the Comet Girls Swimming and Diving squads.  The team is having another solid season as one of the elite programs in the city and state.  They placed 3rd overall at the Mason Invite to kickoff the year.  They overcame Akron Firestone 103-67 and then defeated perennial powerhouse Upper Arlington in a dual match.  Mason Girls are the defending OHSAA State Champions.Mason is coached by Mark Sullivan.  Their roster is listed below:   Mason Athletics would like to extend their sincere thanks to the owners and staff of El Caporal for their …

Varsity Boys Basketball

This week’s El Caporal Mason Team of the Week is the Comet Varsity Boys Basketball squad.  Mason is off to a strong start in the 2018-19 season.  The Comets are currently undefeated at 4-0 with a 2-0 mark in the GMC.  Mason has notched some big wins over Sidney, Kings, Colerain and, Sycamore with an average winning margin of +20 points per game.  The Comets are currently the #2 ranked team in the city-wide polls.  They will visit Fairfield TONIGHT!
