Katie is a senior on the Mason Softball TeamKatie has been a force on the mound for the Comet Softball team early in the 2019 season.  She has earned 5 wins to start the season and helped lead her team to 5-1 overall record.  Katie has been amazing, striking out 33 batters and posting an ERA of just .83.  She has signed to played softball next year at John Carroll University.

JOE POWELL

Joe is a senior on the Mason Baseball TeamThe 2019 season couldn’t start any better for this standout catcher for the Mason Comets.  Joe has powered the offense early on hitting 4 home-runs and driving in 9 while sporting a .350 batting average.  His plate performance has helped lead the team to a 7-1 overall record.  Joe has earned a baseball scholarship to the University of Cincinnati next year. 

GIRLS SWIM/DIVE

GIRLS SWIM/DIVEThe MASON Girls Swimming and Diving team successfully defended their state title this season by defeating runner-up North Canton Hoover by 3 points! It was a tremendous team win for the 10 Mason swimmers and divers. The Comets were bridesmaids in 2016 and 2017, finishing as the state runner-up to Upper Arlington before breaking through last season with their first-ever team title.  The Comets became the third Cincinnati-area program (St. Ursula 1993-95, Ursuline 2000-02; 2013-14) to capture back-to-back state championships.

ADAM CHANEYAdam is a senior on the Mason Boys Swimming TeamAdam recently became a two-time State Champion with 1st place wins in the 50 &100 Freestyle, both State records! In the 100 Freestyle, Adam took down a 27 year old record set by Joey Hudepohl a 2-time Olympian! This was Adam’s third and fourth State Titles. As a sophomore at Bishop Fenwick last season he won a pair of Division II state titles. 

PACEY NAJDUSAK

Pacey is a junior on the Mason Wrestling TeamPacey was a champion at the GMC league tournament this past weekend at 106 lbs. Pacey is a 3x GMC champion with an opportunity next season to be a 4 time champion. Pacey is currently 38-3 on the season and ranked 2nd in the state at 106 lbs.

SAM GLASSCO

Sam is a senior on the Mason Wrestling TeamSam was a champion at the GMC league tournament this past weekend at 138 lbs. Sam is a 3x GMC champion as well as a 4 time placer. He is currently ranked 7th in the state at 132 lbs. Sam record for the season is 39-5.

KATIE LOEWEKatie is a sophomore on the Mason Competition Cheer TeamKatie always has a great attitude and works very hard.  She had a lot of changes in her routine this week and performed beautifully to help us win Grand Champion this weekend.  She is also, the team hair braiding extraordinaire! She is a pleasure to coach!

ALANNA CARTERAlanna is a junior on the Mason Girls Basketball TeamAlanna is a 5’11” guard, 2nd year varsity player and a key component in the success of her team this sesaon.  She recently led the Comets in a big win over Oak Hills, tallying 20 points in the contest. Alanna is averaging over 12 points per game this season.

LANDEN LONG

LANDEN LONGLanden is a senior on the Mason Boys Basketball TeamLanden currently leads the team in scoring, with 16.2 pts per game, assist 2.8 a game, and steals with 1.7 a game.  Most recently Landen lead the Comets with 21 pts vs. Hamilton knocking down 5 three pointers.  He had a tremdous game in a win over Princeton going 6-8 from 3-point range.
