The Senour-Flaherty Insurance Company proudly recognizes AVA ENGEN, a sophomore on the Mason Winter Cheer team as the Mason Winter Athlete of the Week.

Ava is a dedicated member of the basketball sideline and competition cheer teams, bringing energy, passion, and versatility to every performance. Originally placed on JV basketball sideline cheer, she has stepped up to double-team on varsity for most of the season—a true testament to her skill, endurance, and commitment.

Cheering through two consecutive games every Tuesday and Friday is no easy task, yet Ava embraces the challenge with enthusiasm, always showing up as her best self. Her voice carries across the court as one of the loudest and most energetic cheerleaders, a clear reflection of her love for the sport.

Beyond her infectious spirit, Ava’s adaptability sets her apart. Whether stepping into new roles due to illness or injury, she transitions seamlessly without hesitation or complaint. A well-rounded and talented athlete, Ava is a vital asset to her teams and an inspiration to those around her.
