Abhi is a junior on the Mason Chess Team.

Abhi plays board #1 for the Comets, and he finished the GMC season with a record of 9-2-2 and was 1st-team all-GMC and the runner-up in Player of the Year voting. Abhi participated in two U. S. Chess Federation (USCF) tournaments during Thanksgiving break. He was also the organizer of the chess team's voluntary practices during break, helping players on lower boards to prepare their openings for the Sycamore rematch.
