2025 SOFTBALL

The Mason High School Varsity Softball Team has been honored as this week’s El Caporal Team of the Week, recognizing their strong start to the season and impressive performances on the field.

The Comets have been navigating both tough competition and unpredictable early spring weather, emerging with an impressive 5-2 overall record and a 2-0 mark in the always-competitive Greater Miami Conference (GMC). Their resilience was on full display last weekend when they secured a thrilling 7-6 walk-off victory against a talented Teays Valley team.

In conference play, Mason has been dominant, posting back-to-back shutout wins with commanding 15-0 and 10-0 victories over Middletown and Sycamore, respectively.

Led by Head Coach Liann Muff, the Comets are showing they are a force to be reckoned with in the GMC this season.

The El Caporal Team of the Week award highlights teams that demonstrate excellence, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the season. The Comets have certainly earned this recognition with their stellar performances.
