Boys Volleyball Westerville South Invite Champions!

 

On Saturday the Boys Volleyball team traveled to Westerville South to participate in an 8 team invitational. Columbus was a good place to be on Saturday if you were a Comet as the team brought home a tourney championship.

 

The team won their first game by defeating Licking Heights 25-7, 25-15. Mason got dominate serving from Jake Garland(8pts), Killian Richardson(10pts) and Kasey Richards(14pts). In the Quarter finals the Comets defeated host Westerville South 25-19, 25-22. It was a great team victory with all players contributing to the victory.

 

In the finals, Mason defeated the No. 9th ranked Division II team, Columbus DeSales, by scores of 25-22, 25-19. The team was led by Killian Richardson with 6 aces and 7 kills. For his efforts he was named to the All-Tournament team. Jake Brinkman was also strong at the net with 9 kills. 

 

The boy's volleyball team is enjoying their best season in program history with an overall record of 15-3. The Comets are currently third in the GMC with a record of 6-2. They'll visit Badin today and conclude GMC play when they host Lakota East on Tuesday.
