Mason High School Athletics Boys Tennis

TThe Mason Boys Tennis Team (as of April 15) is the third ranked team. The Comets defeated Indian Hill 5-0 in Wednesday, April 17. Earlier in the week the Comets knocked off GMC rival Sycamore 4-1.  The Comets are currently 10-0 overall and 6-0 in the conference.  The team is led by number one singles and Brown University commit Niraj Komatineni and at second singles freshman Anish Gangavaram who have yet to be defeated this season. Mason High School Athletics Boys Tennis

Young. That’s the word that describes this year’s Mason Boys Tennis Team. After winning the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association (OTCA) state title and going undefeated last year, the team lost multiple key seniors – including Shashank Singuri, Vishnu Srinath, and Pavan Vattyam. Fortunately, many talented freshmen joined the program this year with the goal of continuing the winning tradition Mason tennis has established and bringing home an- other state championship. READ MORE HERE:

Mike Reid Named 2018 OTCA Tennis Coach of the Year!

In special ceremonies, in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday night, Mason Head Tennis Coach Mike Reid was recognized with a very special honor.  The Ohio Tennis Coaches Association named Reid their 2018 OTCA and National Federation of State HS Associations Girls Coach of the Year.  Below are highlights of Coach Reid’s coaching career.
