Mason High School Athletics Boys Track, Girls Track

At the annual Mason Track Invitational, 34 schools from across Ohio and Kentucky competed in dashes, hurdles, runs, and relays along with high jumps, long jumps, discus throws, shot puts, and pole vaults. Mason’s girls finished in first, 10 points ahead of Gahanna Lincoln. Mason’s boys placed second, just behind Huber Heights Wayne. Along with the event, Mason’s senior track and field members were recognized for their involvement. Read more here:

The Girls Track Team finished as runner-up at the Centerville Elks Relays Friday night, scoring 97.48 team points.   The Comets teamed up throughout the meet to compile many top places and great performances. First place finishers 2000 Steeplechase – Nathalie Schickendantz, Pole Vault Relay – Haleigh Eckert, Anagha Rao, Jessica Nelson, Shuttle Hurdle Relay – Alexia Thomas, Jaye Seastrom,Taylorae Dunn, Erin Breuer. Tennis continues winning ways

TThe Mason Boys Tennis Team (as of April 15) is the third ranked team. The Comets defeated Indian Hill 5-0 in Wednesday, April 17. Earlier in the week the Comets knocked off GMC rival Sycamore 4-1.  The Comets are currently 10-0 overall and 6-0 in the conference.  The team is led by number one singles and Brown University commit Niraj Komatineni and at second singles freshman Anish Gangavaram who have yet to be defeated this season. Mason High School Athletics Girls Lacrosse

The Mason Girls Lacrosse Team dropped a tough match up to Loveland on Thursday, April 18 13-8.  Despite the loss the Comets are enjoying a successful season with an overall record of 6-3 and 5-1 in the Greater Miami Conference.  The Comets sit just one game behind league-leading Sycamore. The Aves defeated the Comets earlier in the season 13-6, but the two teams will face off again on Thursday, April 25 at Sycamore.  A share of the league title could be on the line when the two teams match up.  This is the first year for lacrosse to be a …


Mason High School Athletics Boys Volleyball, Spring Sports

The Mason Boys Volleyball Team has opened the season with a 3-3 record.  The Comets have recorded wins over West Clermont (25-16, 25-10), Lakota West (25-6, 25-18, 25-17), and Milford (25-20, 25-14, 25-15).  The Comets’ three losses have been at the hands of Greater Catholic League opponents St. Xavier, Badin, and Chaminade Julienne. The Mason Boys Track Team had a great night at the Centerville Elk relays.  The team was in great form and came together for a true whole team effort.  The  4x 200 won their race with the second fastest time in the state, as did the men of the 4x 400.   Both of these relays included Akari Porter, who is running at another level. On Monday, April 1, Mason Girls Softball defeated Princeton 10-0. The statistical leaders for the Comets: Holland Tolliver 1 for 1 with 3 R.B.I. Val Allen 2 R.B.I., Holland Tolliver, Carsyn Snead, and Ali Weekley with doubles, Tori O’Brien – 2 stolen bases, Sydney Carter, Lindsay Breuer, and Lindsey Sutton – 1 stolen base. The Mason baseball team defeated Princeton on April 3. The Comets were led by pitcher Evan Kemp who pitched a complete game two hitter. Statistical leaders for the Comets were J.P. Mason High School Athletics Softball

The Mason softball program is no stranger to success. Over the past three seasons the Comets have compiled a record of 72-12 (52-2 in the Greater Miami Conference (GMC)), won three GMC championships and three district titles. Senior shortstop and University of Dayton signee Ali Weekley has been a key part of the Comets success and looks to continue the Comets’ winning ways into the 2019 season. READ MORE HERE:
