FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEThursday, September 16, 2021 MASON GIRLS GOLF WINS 2021 GMC TITLE IN RECORD-BREAKING STYLE! It was another “record-breaking” day for the Mason Girls Golf program at the GMC Championships this past Tuesday and Wednesday.  The Comets won their 3rd title in the past 4 years at Walden Ponds Golf Course, setting a new tourney record with a team score of 574 (288-286) and exceeding their last year’s best-ever league mark by 5 strokes.   The 2021 league tourney was another “GMC runaway” as the Comets outdistanced 2nd place Sycamore (615) by a whopping 41 strokes and 3rd place Lakota West …

This week’s El Caporal Mason Team of the Week is the Mason Girls Golf Team The Comet Girl’s Golf season is well-underway in 2021.  The ladies have already experienced many successes as they battle their way to another GMC title.  Mason placed 1st at the prestigious Sycamore Invite with runner-up finishes at Gahanna Lincoln, Pickerington, and New Albany Invitationals. Mason is coached by Chad Layton See the roster of the team below:

Mason High School Athletics Featured Athletes, Girls Golf

Abby is a sophomore on the 2021 Mason Girls Golf Team Abby is off to an incredible start to her sophomore season. She has placed 3rd overall (73) at the Pickerington Invite which helped the team secure a second-place finish, and tied for 4th overall (69) at the Lady Elk Invitational with another team’s second-place finish. In addition to her phenomenal play, her dedication to the sport and the team has been equally impressive early in the season.
