Reedy
Paul Reedy has announced that the 2017 season will be his last as the Mason High School boys head soccer coach. Reedy leaves his position as one of the most successful coaches in the GMC, City and State.  He has had the opportunity to influence hundreds of young men and women that went on to produce many outstanding achievements.  During his 24-year coaching span, Reedy’s teams have won 316 games, making him the GMC’s all-time win leader for boys soccer.  Since taking the Mason boys helm in 2007, Ready has amassed a league record of 171-27-21.  Last season Coach Reedy became one of 19 other coaches in the State of Ohio to attain the 300 win plateau.
“As I end my long coaching career, I realize there are so many people to thank but too numerous to mention,” said Reedy. “However, I would not have been nearly as successful without the support of coaches past and present who made me a better coach, but more importantly a better person.”
Reedy coached boys and girls soccer at three different high schools during his coaching tenure. The Loveland High School product started his head coaching career with the Sycamore girls team in 1994. He took over the Colerain boys team in 1998.  In seven seasons there he led the Cardinals to their only two Greater Miami Conference soccer championships.
Paul coached the Mason girls when the Comets were still apart of the Fort Ancient Valley Conference in 2005 and 2006 before moving over to the Comet boys team in 2007 when Mason entered the GMC. In 11 seasons as the Mason boys head coach, his teams have won 6 GMC titles, 7 district championships, 3 regional titles and the school’s only Division I State Soccer Championship in 2013, going undefeated (22-0-1) and ranked #1 in the country.
Reedy was named the Enquirer Coach of the Year in 2015 and has earned the Greater Miami Conference Coach of the Year honor 7 times.  In 2009 he was the recipient of the Division 1 Ohio Co-Coach of the Year by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association.  During his career, a great number of his former players have earned college scholarships and gone on to successful collegiate careers.  Reedy’s influence has propelled several former players on to coaching careers of their own.
“I have been extremely blessed to coach hundreds of players who possessed not only great talent, but even greater character,” said Reedy.  “My wife Stefany has been my greatest supporter and we cherish the memories we have shared in my coaching journey.”
Paul continues to be a member of the Mason faculty where he teaches AP Psychology.
Thank you Coach Reedy from everyone in the Mason community, for your sacrificial time and effort, making the Mason Soccer program one of the best in the state!
You will be greatly missed!
