The Mason Girls Lacrosse team traveled to Loveland to take on the Tigers last Thursday evening, April 13, losing by a final 16-8. Loveland may have gained the games first possession but it was Mason's defense and goal keeping that kept the Tigers in check. The first half progressed with each team trading goals and Mason taking a 7-6 lead into halftime. In a tale of two halves, Loveland came out and scored three quick goals surprising Mason. The Comets continued to press, but could not sustain any rally and eventually fell to the Tigers.
On Saturday, April 13th, the Comet Lady Laxers were ready for a 'Bounce Back' headed North to Olentangy Orange HS. The weather was perfect for Mason to unleash a revitalized spirit and win 15-11.
Goals were traded but it was your Comets who capitalized on long possessions to take an 10-8 lead into halftime. At the start of the second half, Mason netted two quick goals and experienced a big momentum shift. With the defense and goal keeping ratcheted up and precise ball control on offense, the Comets took charge of the game. The Pioneers had nothing more to offer and Mason went on to another victory.
