MASON BASEBALL STANDOUT NOW A BLUE JAY!

Mason Baseball alumni, TJ Zeuch, realized "the dream" last Thursday.  The Toronto Blue Jays selected Zeuch in the first round of major league baseballs draft as the No. 21 pick overall.  The 20-year-old native of Mason, Ohio, is a junior at the University of Pittsburgh and was considered among the best college pitchers in the draft. Zeuch is thought of as an intimidating force on the mound due to his frame and velocity (touching 96-97 mph).

Nick Pearson Races to State Track Title

 PEARSON WINS ANOTHER STATE TITLE!

Mason senior track standout Nick Pearson accomplished a tremendous achievement at the State track meet his past Saturday at Jesse Owens Stadium. Pearson won an individual 2016 State Championship in the 400 meter dash event. Nick sprinted to a new Mason record time of 47.82 to beat out a talented field of competitors.

SOFTBALL COMETS FINAL FOUR BOUND!

The Comets are the 2016 Regional Softball Champions. Mason defeated Lakota East 5-2 last Saturday in the "rubber game" of a three game series between the two softball powerhouses. It marks the the 2nd time in the last four years that Mason has won a regional championship (5th overall), with the last one coming in 2013. The Comets earn a trip to Akron this Friday for the Division 1 State Final Four. Mason has appeared in the state semifinals 3 other times (2007, 2008, 2013) and now 2016.
